Katie Tancabel O.D.

Dr. Katie is a proud graduate of Litchfield High School, the University of St. Thomas, and the Illinois College of Optometry.  She thoroughly enjoys all patient care but is passionate about eye care for the diabetic patient, the aging eye, and pediatrics. 

Dr. Katie is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association. She currently serves on the Minnesota Optometric Association’s Board of Trustees as President (2022).  She is a strong advocate for optometry and believes access to the best eye care is most important for her community and the state of Minnesota. She also serves on the board of directors for VOSH-Minnesota (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) and is an InfantSEE provider.  InfantSEE is a public health program that provides a comprehensive infant eye examination as a no-cost public service. She feels that eye and vision care are essential to a child’s quality of life.  

Dr. Katie and her husband, Peter, love to spend time with their three children and she also enjoys traveling, golfing, and attending live music concerts
